Alexei Muravitsky

Alexei Muravitsky came to the Scholars' College from New York, where he was a visiting member of the Department of Computer Science at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Science at NYU.  He has taught mathematics at NYU, Cooper Union, Polytechnic University, and the Moldavian State University.  His main fields of interest are non-classical logics and applications of logic to computer science.  Among Dr. Muravitsky's many publications are two contributions to the first supplement to Kluwer's Encyclopedia of Mathematics.  He has been a member of the American Mathematical Society since 1989.

 

Dr. Muravitsky teaches Common Curriculum mathematics courses as well as providing upper-level instruction in mathematical logic and other areas.
